Another year has passed, and the Tizen smartphone ecosystem has thankfully made a slight progress, at least in terms of good quality apps. After the introduction of Tizen Mobile App Incentive program, We did see a number of good quality apps being added in the Tizen Store every month. Today, we list the 15 best apps added in the Tizen Store in the year 2017. These are the apps that we think are capable of making difference to the Tizen smartphone ecosystem. Have a look.

Native Apps

  • IMOIMO is one of the most widely used instant messaging (IM) app, especially used for video calling. It was one of the most sought-after apps by Tizen users and its introduction certainly made some difference.
  • Quick Access – A simple but yet very useful app, Quick Access provides you with a floating button for easy access to camera, torch, calculator etc. directly from any screen.
  • NewsPoint – This news app provides breaking news alerts aggregated from trusted daily national & international newspapers.
  • Telegram – Another popular IM app, Telegram made its way into Tizen Store in the year 2017. Though unofficial as of yet, the app has almost every basic feature you’d expect from an IM app.

  • Quikr – The official app for India’s No. 1 online classifieds platform, Quikr, was released on Tizen Store this year. Quikr is an online platform which allows people buy and sell any kind of products all over India.
  • Xender – A comprehensive app for file sharing, Xender allows users to share any type of file, at any time.
  • Jio TV – Ever since the launch of Jio in India, Jio TV was the most sought-after Jio app. Jio TV gives you access to over 500 TV channels, both Live TV and past 7 days programs.

  • ES File Explorer – With over 500 million users across various platforms, ES File Explorer one of the most popular file manager for a smartphone. Added by OPEN MOBILE, the app requires ACL for Tizen to run.
  • PIP Camera PIP Camera is another popular smartphone app added to the Tizen Store by OPEN MOBILE. This photo editing app, boasting a wide range of features to give the best possible effects on your photo.
  • VivaVideo – Along with the photo editing app PIP Camera, OPEN MOBILE also added a video editing app VivaVideo to the Tizen Store. The app allows you to change audio track, create slideshows, add effects and trim your video.
  • Saavn – Another quality app added to the Tizen Store by OPEN MOBILE is Saavn. The app provides an unlimited, free access to music and radio in various Indian regional languages.
  • UC News – OPEN MOBILE was aggressively busy throughout the year as it added one after another quality apps to the Tizen Store. UC News lets you browse your favourite category of news like tech, sports, political, education, country etc.
